As a visual artist crossing forms of materials, puppets and installation Teresa Grimaldi works both individually and collaboratively.
Teresa’s workshop practice is especially focused on the early years, where she has found an affinity with the creativity of this age range, which sits nicely with her own spontaneity and interest in the story. A key element of her practice involves continuing action research into creativity and the under 5’s with particular reference to the Reggio Emilia Approach to children’s learning.
She also collaborates with her sister Catherine, a children’s book illustrator. As The Sisters Grim they bring Catherine’s books to life through interactive children’s installations. They were recently commissioned by Portsmouth City Museum to produce an artists response to celebrate a child’s journey from 0-5.
